Mochudi at a glance
Mochudi is one of the largest villages in Botswana with a population of ca. 50, 321 (as per the 2022 population census) and serves as the administrative headquarters for the Kgatleng District. The village is situated north-east of the capital city, Gaborone, ca. 41 kilometers drive from the city centre. The village is popular due to its close proximity to the capital city and its relatively easy accessibility from the main A1 highway. The village comprises of a vibrant central commercial hub, local shopping facilities with local and international retailers, a diverse range of residential properties, health facilities and educational facilities such as Molefi Senior Secondary School, and small to large scale farming lands on the outskirts of the village.
