Mogoditshane at a glance
Mogoditshane, often regarded as a suburb of Gaborone, is a peri-urban village immediately neighboring the capital city of Gaborone, in the Kweneng District, with a population of ca. 57,637 (2011 census). Mogoditshane has developed rapidly over the past ten years, particularly along the main Molepolole Road (A12 highway) and today is home to several established commercial/ industrial concerns, shopping malls/ centres offering a diverse retail experience, schools, religious facilities, the Mogoditshane police station and the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks (Botswana Defence Force military base). The village has attracted the development of a diverse range of residential and multi-residential properties supplementing the extensive level of business activity in the area. Residents benefit greatly from the diverse range of amenities and recreational facilities the area has to offer.
